Copper alloys for drilling and turning

The requirement for drilling and turning properties in combination with the individual application, are determined with respect to copper, zinc and lead contend.

Properties of the alloy can be defined to meet the machinability, production and tolerances.

For bulging, flanging, cold forming and crimping elements can be adjusted to optimize the machine performance and final results.

In comparison to steel the tool life, chip braking properties and productivity are given due to the element and chip breaker lead in the alloys.

Environmental rules and laws will change the future with a direct influence on the machinability of brass and brass alloys.

Therefore lbaG works closely together with customers and partners to find industrial solutions.

The cooperation leads into new alloy generation named EnviB10 and EnviB1. These alloy families fulfil the law of RoHs and CPSIA together with good machining properties.
